Most tourists using Cairns Airport (CNS) will be heading for the Great Barrier Reef and using the city as their base for seeing the beautiful north coast of Queensland in Australia. The airport mainly accommodates domestic flights but does serve a small number of international destinations.

The airport is only seven kilometres from the centre of the city and cheap car hire at Cairns Airport will not only get you to your hotel but also help you to get the most out of a visit to the region. It also provides the easiest way of getting to the many coastal resorts located to the north and south of the city.
